Classée monument historique auprès des bâtiments de France, cette demeure privée jouit d’un emplacement idéal. Située dans 2ha du parc boisé, elle est au coeur des vignobles des Graves, à seulement 5 kilomètres du centre de Bordeaux et à 12 minutes de l'aéroport. Rénovée en 2007 dans le plus grand respect de la tradition, « Le Pavillon du Château Raba » offre à ces quelques hôtes privilégiés confort, intimité et luxe dans un cadre prestigieux. C’est en 1783 que les Raba, une famille de marchands exilés du Portugal sous l’Inquisition, confient la construction du « Château Raba » à Victor Louis, le célèbre architecte qui s’est notamment illustré dans la construction du Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. Le domaine de Raba émerveillera ses nombreux visiteurs tout particulièrement par son parc enchanteur, qui lui vaut le surnom de « Chantilly Bordelais ». Les célébrités de l’époque venaient ainsi visiter le « célèbre Chantilly » : les parlementaires de Bordeaux mais aussi Beaumarchais en 1808 ou encore Napoléon et Joséphine figurent parmi les invités prestigieux de Raba. Un magnifique pavillon destiné à accueillir les invités privilégiés du Château fut construit au début du XIXème. Préservant l’harmonie du domaine, le Pavillon des Invités profite des grandeurs et courbes archées de l’architecture néoclassique. Le Pavillon du Chateau Raba was constructed at the beginning of the nineteenth century under the distinguished influence of neoclassical architecture. This remarkable building was originally the guest house of a Chateau, constructed by Victor Louis, the architect renowned for having built the Grand Theatre in Bordeaux. This establishment has hosted many prestigious guests, including the Beaumarchais in 1808 and even Napoleon and Josephine. In 1958, the chateau, the Pavillon called the Pavillon des Muses and the park were classed as historic monuments by the Batiments de France. In 2008 Le Pavillon du Chateau Raba was rewarded the same distinction. Le Pavillon Chateau Raba was renovated in 2007 in the style of the original and with great consideration for the tradition of this remarkable building. Visitors today can admire the original Chateau and many of the original statues, such as the sphinxes, who were the guardians of the Chateau at the time. The hotel contains nine prestigious rooms, two suites, two seminar rooms and a gourmet restaurant, which can cater for groups of up to 60 people. The rooms are enriched with parquet flooring, classic mantle pieces over old fireplaces, marble bathrooms and large windows with spectacular views of the surrounding park. All of the hotel guests also benefit from free wireless internet throughout the hotel.
